I enjoy this photography as its interesting and unique. People who famously do this type of photography is David Gilliver and Michael Bosanko. I like to view theirs as they are more professional.
To do this photography you need to put it on manual, then make sure the shutter speed is slow so that it has more time to pick up the thing you are drawing. Also you need the light to shine at the camera lens as you move it about.

Another technique i like is the slow sync flash. This is where you put the shutter speed on slow and shine the light on the subject at certain times during the camera taking the picture or just before its finished.
